Mr. I. L. G. Mann headed this institution ever since its inception in March 1961 till November 1986. He handed over the reins of Principalship to Mr. G. I. G. Mann on the 11th of November 1986. The school got its affiliation to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi for both Classes X and XII in 1991 and 1994 respectively. The school is run by the Carman Residential & Day School Society, under the Society Act 1961.
