Kindly clarify whether CHILDREN EDUCATION ALLOWANCE can be claimed for the ward of a Central Govt. Employee who is pursuing his studies in a 3 year Diploma course after completion of 2 years in PUC (i.e., 12th Class). Can the reimbursement be claimed for a period of 2 years in Diploma even after claiming reimbursement in 1st & 2nd PUC (i.e., 12th Class).

Please clarify urgently.

Respected
Sir/Madam
Good Morning
I was retired in 2007 after compilation of 25 years service due to domestic problem I had got late marriage. So, my kids is now 7 and 12 years old and they are studying in class 2 and 6 respectively. Now govt announced New Children Education Allowance scheme for 2 wards. So service personnel receiving that allowance. Though, I had also done 25 years service and not drawn child education allowance from govt due to my child was very young. Now I got retired and child are going to school. So, being pensioners my income resources are also less. So I feel it should be good if govt has extend such facility to ex-serviceman's children up to two children whether in service or retirement. Otherwise late issue children if service or ex-serviceman will be depriving and facing injustice.

My daughter is in Sr.KG now. I had claimed only tuition fees when she was in Jr.KG and not term fees and admission fees as her convent school had given me a receipt for tuition fees only last year. Pl. reply, can i claim last year's admission and term fees now by producing the original last year's bank's receipt as the school gives receipt for only tuition fees.
