The AIEEE counselling 2009 Uttarakhand which is likely to be held from 22nd of July is going to be affected by recession this time. The students attending the counselling will give more preference to the branches which have more demand in the industry at present and which are more job oriented . In previous years the Computer Science branch in Btech was one of the first preference of many students but this time due to international recession this branch is under least preference. Due to international recession many computer engineers from abroad have came back to India plus there is cut in outsourcing from developed countries which has decreased the value for computer graduates  in the country. At present there are many unemployed computer engineers in India so this has decrease the interest of students in this branch.

This time there is increase in the demand for Electrical Instrumentation, Electrical Electronics and Mechanical Engineering branches. There is lot of infrastructure development which is likely to take place in India for few years from now seeing this opportunity many students are opting for Civil Engineering also. These days the students are collecting information regarding the placement records of different engineering colleges plus knowing what is in demand at present in the market and  industry.
